Abstract: newline Abstract newline newlineBacterial wilt caused by Ralstoniasolanacearum is the most important disease and Shoot and fruit borer, Lecinodesorbonalis is the most important insect- pest of Brinjal. Successful cultivation of this important solanaceous vegetable crop requires unified management of both wilt and shoot and fruit borer. Studies on Field incidence of bacterial wilt, population dynamics of shoot and fruit borer, screening of brinjal cultivars against both wilt and borer, efficacies of bio-pesticides, and plant extracts etc. and its application at appropriate growth stages to work out a management schedule and also testing of management schedule for validation under farmers field conditions is proposed in the present study. newline
